Zorana bought me a box of Lindor chocolates today. She's my new best friend. :-)
I am actually getting kind of excited about the next few months! This weekend I am going to see Stars on Ice (yay Alexei and Kurt!), then May long weekend I'm going to go to NYC, at the end of May Laurie's coming down, in June I'm going to Stratford, in July I'm going to Germany/London, at the end of July is World Youth Day, in August I'm going home and to North/South Dakota, and Labour Day weekend I'm going back to Stratford. I guess with all of that to look forward to I can manage to struggle through work every day.
Choosing shows to see in New York is proving difficult as always.
I made an appointment with the vet for Tiger for next Monday. He's been on his diet for a year - it'll be interesting to see if it's made any difference.
I'm sad because I thought maybe Amelie was being released this week, but now it says July. :-(
However, I'm very happy because Karen gets to meet Jamie Oliver on Wednesday. :-)

I want to move to New York.
I am in the process of applying for a job there, and the more I think about it, the more I just really, really, really want to be there. So keep your fingers crossed for me that something might actually come out of it this time!
I spent the weekend in London with Alison, which was fun, even if we just lay around and watched TV/movies most of the time. But it looks like I will *not* be going to London, England next month, unfortunately. Ah well. I'm sure another trip will present itself before too long. :-)
My cat is such a goof - he managed to locate the food I bought for him over the weekend, tear through the plastic bag and the paper bag and gorge himself on it. When I discovered him, he was lying down with his face in the bag, eating. *sigh*
I ordered my ticket for Pimpernel at Stratford. Now I just need to figure out how to afford to see the other 4 shows I want to see there. :-)
Anyway, I have very little to say at the moment, obviously. It is considerably colder than it was last week, but today was still pretty nice. Looking forward to the weekend...

Alright, I feel much more capable of working today. Not that I want to be at work, of course. I'd much rather be just about anywhere else. However, I am going to London (Ontario) this weekend, and possibly London (England) in a month, so I will have to grin and bear it for now!
Updates about the trip are coming soon, I swear it! I got my pictures developed this weekend, and they turned out really well! I am amazed at the quality of some of them. :-) However, in every single picture of me, my eyes are bright red. I think I need to buy a camera with red-eye reduction. The lady in the photo shop explained how that works, which I never knew, and it was very interesting! But I don't feel like explaining it now. ;-)
Also this weekend, I made up my scrapbook for the trip, re-organized my CDs and tapes, and put up all my new pictures (in nice new frames!) and everything. I felt very productive!
Sad news on the trip front, though - my mom and I may not be able to take our scheduled North/South Dakota vacation. My sister is getting married right before the trip, and now it looks like our company may be staying later, so we can't just abandon them...but we'll see what happens.
So as not to leave anyone in complete suspense, I will elucidate a bit on the Anthony meeting - he was extremely nice, and stayed and talked with the people there for about 10 minutes. We got autographs and pictures, and I gave him some little Canadian gifts I'd taken for him, which he really seemed to appreciate. It was a very good stage door experience. Oh, and here's the picture, which we had developed and took for him to sign, and which makes me very happy...

Oh my goodness, I am so tired. My sleeping schedule has been thrown completely out of wack by this whole jet lag thing, and I've now been up for about 19 hours, and I still have several hours of work to go. Uuugggh...
Anyway, I suppose it is a small price to pay for an otherwise lovely vacation! I had a really great time, and Australia is an awesome place. I enjoyed it in a very different way than I enjoyed my trip to Europe. And of course - the highlight - the ultimate moment - I met Anthony Warlow! Very exciting. :-) Many more details, and pictures, to come soon.
