They are re-showing the men's free skate from Worlds on CBC right now, which is cool because it's the first time I've seen any of it on TV. And you can't see me AT ALL. :-( The cameramen were right below me, so everything is shot away from me.

And boy, the men's free really did suck. I had forgotten how bad everyone did. :-) Brian Joubert is skating now, and it's too painful to watch, so I decided to put an update in here instead.

I'm still working on the musical site cleanup, it is taking a really long time! I did take a break to go pick up some drinks for tonight, when I'm going out with some girls from work.

Random things that have made me happy today: Jeff's reaction to his marks in the kiss 'n' cry, flirting with the cute checkout guy at the LCBO, no rain when it is supposed to be raining, recognizing people in the crowd shots at Worlds, seeing this picture of Jesper, eating a blizzard from Dairy Queen

April 29, 2005 - 10:00 p.m.

So how sad is it that I couldn't wait until next week to see the new episode of Smallville, so I actually downloaded it and watched it this morning?? Yeah, that's what I thought. But it was a really good episode, probably my favourite one this season. Yay!

It's also incredibly sad that in this list of cheesy roadside oddities, not only have I seen a great deal of them, but this one is literally two blocks from where I live.

Anyway. :-) This week was fairly uneventful, though still busy at work so that I'm pretty tired by the time I get home! It was raining most of the week, and is supposed to rain all weekend too, so my goal is to go through my entire theatre site and clean it all up - fix broken links, update show information, make note of any missing info, etc. Because of that, I won't be doing any big updates, but I did put up a message board, which people have been bugging me to do. I'm only worried because I know I don't have time to moderate it properly - if anyone out there would like to volunteer to be a moderator, let me know! It might not turn out to be very busy, but we'll wait and see.

A few more pictures to end this entry...first up are some more from the party we went to last week...there's me with the chocolate fountain (yum!), and me and Zorana with our cheesecake (double yum!). And then a couple more of my nephew Caleb as well!

Have a nice weekend!

April 24, 2005 - 9:32 p.m.

How is it that I didn't know Roger Bart was on Desperate Housewives??

Stars on Ice was fantastic on Friday. We had our nosebleed seats, but moved down to the 5th row for the second act. Jeff skated to "Ave Maria" and "Sunglasses at Night", which was really fun. Alexei did an amazing number involving being suspended above the ice in a sheet and doing Cirque-de-Soleil-style gymnastics. Kurt did one of his toybox numbers and "Mr. Bojangles". I was most curious to see what my instinct would be when all three of them were on the ice at the same time, and it was interesting, I found that I would watch Jeff over Alexei, but Kurt over both of them. Guess he is still the king. :-)

Krista and I have started making plans for our trip to New York over the May long weekend. So far, the major things are that we will drive down and try to see four shows, although what those shows are is still very much up in the air.

I have been trying to convince myself that I am not going to Europe this summer, but it doesn't seem to be working. So now I am throwing out a plea, that if anyone sees a good seat sale, please let me know!

I can't believe it's Sunday night already. I want a longer weekend.

April 22, 2005 - 6:30 a.m.

Well, as I predicted, this week has just flown by! I've been busy both at work and outside of it. I ended up going to "Crash" on Monday with Peggy rather than Zorana, and it was a very interesting film. It upset me, since it's all about racial stereotypes, and if it's even close to the real situation, it's terribly disturbing, but I think it was well-done. On Tuesday I had a bit of a break, all the better to enjoy the Lex-filled Smallville episode (there were actually TWO Lexes! How great is that?!), and Wednesday Peggy and I tried yet again for the Wicked lottery but still didn't have any luck, so I came home to watch Alias, and let me tell you, if they kill off Jack, I don't know if I will continue to watch! But Joel Grey is fantastically spooky in his guest role.

Last night was the law firm party, which actually was a really fun time! It was on this movie set that is supposed to be New York, so there was the Broadway ticket booth where they were playing show tunes and handing out white chocolate cheesecake...that's all I need, really. :-) There was a "mentalist" who was doing some really cool stuff, and I had my palm read by a gypsy! She told me I have a strong career line, but not necessarily the career that I'm in. She also said I will have a deep, passionate romantic connection, but not until I'm in my early 30's, maybe 32 or 33! That's a long way away. :-(

Here is a picture of me and Zorana on the cover of the New York Times, from the party:

Tonight is Stars on Ice, I can't wait! I really wish we had better seats, but I'm just spoiled now after my time at Worlds. Hopefully if there are some lower ones available we can move down a bit. I can't wait to see what kind of programs everybody will have - I missed the US broadcast this year, so I don't have any idea what Kurt is doing even! Should be fun!!

Jesper is finally releasing a single from his album in May! I really can't wait to hear it. AND, he's appearing at the Sommernacht des Musicals concert with Ethan in July. I want to go!! I am looking into it, but so far it's looking doubtful. :-( Check out his redesigned official site though!

This weekend is supposed to rain, so I plan on staying indoors and catching up on some things around the apartment. Peggy and I might try once more for Wicked, but it will depend how things go. Plus, I know the lottery will be insane since this is the last weekend!

Hope you all have a good one!

April 17, 2005 - 7:21 a.m.

Okay, first of all, my apologies for the very long delay between updates in here. I didn't want to update until I had come up with a new design, and it took me forever to think of something, and even this I really don't like very much. Don't expect it to last more than a month or two. :-) I'll also need a little while to get the photo album in the right colour scheme.

My apologies also to anyone expecting email from me - at some point I am going to get my act together, I promise.

In the meantime, there's been a fair bit going on in my life! The first and most important news would be: I am an aunt!!! My sister had her baby on Friday, April 15, at 1:28 a.m. It's a little boy, his name is Caleb, and he already weighs 9 lbs and 3 oz. And here he is!

Everyone in the family is very excited, and I'm wishing I was going home in less time than six weeks, since I would really like to see him! But I guess I will have to wait until then.

What else has been going on? Well, I wrote my insurance exam, which means I have just two more to go, and I'm going to write them both in July, and then I'll be finished! Hooray! Also, I went to see Wicked with a big group from work, which was really fun. The tour is great! Well, with the exception of Carol Kane, who I rather despised as Madame Morrible. But everyone else is really good. Peggy was supposed to come as well, but wasn't able to make it, so she and I have tried the lottery a couple of times this week, but no luck yet.

Spring has officially arrived in Toronto! Yesterday I spent the day downtown with Karen and Gill, where they helped me try the lottery (again, no luck), helped me pick out a dress for Brett's grad, and just generally spent hours chatting in the sun in Dundas Square. Oh, and exposing our startling lack of knowledge about Brazil on camera for a movie. :-) I also got my hair cut yesterday, and have died it a lighter shade, so it looks quite different now! I got my tax return back, and have spent it on the afore-mentioned dress, the hair cut and a new jacket.

Today I am going to visit my great-aunts at the Abbey, and maybe stopping in at work to get some things done, unfortunately. This week promises to be busy - Zorana and I are going to a preview screening of the movie "Crash" tomorrow, on Thursday is a work party which actually sounds like a lot of fun, and then Friday is Stars on Ice (yay Jeff, Kurt, Alexei!).

Yogen Fruz sells Atkins ice cream now. This is dangerous.

I have made a small page featuring the results of my "life to-do list" thus far. I haven't included what the other goals are, since I don't want to jinx them! But I'm averaging about one a year so far, which is not bad. Check it out!

The next update will be quicker, I promise!
