Okay, see, I go through these periods where I hardly even check my email for days, let alone reply to any of it or update any of my sites. *sigh* It's the end of the semester at school, so things are getting a little hectic now. I did my ethics presentation this afternoon, and it went fairly well, so that's one thing out of the way, and now I've got a term paper due next week and then that's it until exams! I wish it was three weeks from now...
Strange thing happened to me today...I got called out of my journalism class by one of the guys in it, and he introduces me to this girl, and the first thing she says is, "So you're into musical theatre?" I was just kind of like, "Um, you might say that..." :-) So then she asked if I was involved in Sock 'N Buskin at all, which is our university theatre company, so I was told her no...except for that I'm auditioning for the musical this year. And she was like, "Oh! Then I guess I can't ask you to be on the audition panel." :-) Which is kinda too bad, 'cause I think that would be fun to do! But I do want to try out too. She said there's like 150 people auditioning. I don't know how good my chances are. But I have to try. Anyway, it also just kind of made me happy that I'm getting a reputation of being knowledgeable about theatre. :-)
So, as you've probably gathered, I am trying out for Little Shop of Horrors. I just want to be in the chorus, 'cause I know I'm not the world's best singer. I've been trying to decide on an audition piece...I've got it narrowed down now to either "I'll Forget You" or "Storybook"...they're both a good range for me, so I'm trying to decide which one would show off my acting "talents" better. Any suggestions are welcome. :-)
I'm really getting frustrated that it won't snow here!! They've had snow at home for a few weeks now. How am I supposed to start feeling Christmas-y?? I wanted to start my Christmas baking last weekend, but I just couldn't get in the mood, so I made a pie instead. But I want to make chocolates this weekend, so I hope I'm feeling more festive by then.
I'm trying to decide what to do after class tomorrow...I've been invited to go out with my class for dinner, since it's our last TV class, and they're all bugging me, 'cause I never go to the bar with them after class (I have dance Thursday nights!), so I feel like I should go, but on the other hand, it's the lighting ceremony at Parliament Hill...when they light all the Christmas lights on the Hill. I haven't been to it the other two years I've been here, so I'd like to go. Plus, they're giving away free Beavertails, so that's always a good thing. :-) Either way, I can't stay too long because I do still have my dance class. Decisions, decisions! :-)
Okay, I think that's enough babbling for now. I'll try to write a little more often, but that might not happen until after my term paper is turned in! Wish me luck!! :-)
