Quote of the day: "...inevitably diminishing my credibility with you in regards to future decision-making processes." -- The always intelligent-sounding Douglas Sills :-)

Wow, it's been an age since I wrote anything in here! I didn't realize it had been so long! I've been busy, of course, and I will be soooo happy once next week is over! I really need a break.

I'm actually supposed to be in class right now, but my tutorial group was cancelled, so I've got a little bit of spare time before my lecture. Why, can I ask, do professors insist on assigning a ton of work to be due *before* reading week? Isn't the whole point of the break to give you time to work on that kind of stuff?

Anyway, since the last time I wrote, I've quit my job and been hired at a new one. :-) I'm going to be working as an attendant homemaker for a lady with several medical problems...I'm not sure how often it's going to be, but it pays alright, and she seems really nice. It's not my ideal job, but I'm under rather severe time constraints, so at this point I'm going to take what I can get!

I finally saw Shakespeare in Love last weekend...what a great movie! I really loved it, and my friend Laurie did too...I wasn't sure how she was going to react to it. She said she liked it that they didn't end up together in the end, because nothing ever turns out right in real life anyway. I think that may be a slightly bitter viewpoint on life. :-) And, we went to see it at the big Coliseum in the city, which happens to have a M. Felix and Mr. Norton cookie shop inside! Yay! I was so happy! I could easily spend great amounts of money at that store. :-)

Rehearsals for Little Shop are going great...we had our first rehearsal with the plant last night. It's going to steal the show. :-) It's only a little over a month till we open...next month is going to be insane with rehearsals and the actual run and everything. Think my professors will excuse me from my class work for it? :-)

I went to an information session today for a fourth-year program at my university that involves an exchange to London. It's a parliamentary internship program, and it sounds really interesting, but I found out today that not only are you expected to pay *all* the costs involved, but you don't get paid for the work you do either. So I don't know if I'd be able to afford it. But I guess I'll apply and see what happens, and then go from there. That seems to be my philosophy in general, doesn't it? :-)

Anyway, I'm sure there's more I should say, but since it's getting around to time for my lecture, I ought to get going. I'll try to update soon, I promise! :-)
