In a way, it's someone else's story
I don't see myself as taking part at all

Laurie and I in Times Square, Sunday night

So, I'm back! :-) And with no major dents on the car to show for it. :-) The trip was actually very good, driving-wise. Perfect weather, and not too much traffic, aside from actually driving in Manhattan, of course. Oh, and parking. Parking was bad. I got my first parking ticket. :-( But it was worth it!

Bravo Broadway was wonderful, and seeing Doug again was wonderful. Laurie and I had fun ushering Cabaret and going to the Statue of Liberty. I got to have dinner with Kel, Lindsey, Kristal and Jen, and then have drinks the next night with Joanna and Lindsay as we watched Sean McCourt and Alice Ripley sing. And finally, there was Pimpernel, which was just wonderful. I've missed Douglas so much! And he was fabulous. The whole trip was great!

But, unfortunately, it's back to reality now. I have a ton of work to do before school begins again on Monday. We have to do a mini-essay for our arts reporting class, examining how one theme or topic has been looked at in at least three different media. I'm thinking of doing Pimpernel. :-) You know, talking about the books, the movies, and the show, and how they're different and what they each bring to the story. Should be fun, but also a lot of work, so I need to get started!

I'm also way behind on watching my English lectures. I haven't even started watching this term yet! The only class I'm really caught up in is my online journalism class. We publish a bi-weekly news magazine. If you want to read my article this week, check out Capital News Online.

That's about all for now! I need to go back home and clean my room and do some baking and stuff. Oh yeah, and start on some of that work. :-) Hope you're all having a good week!
