Most recently listened to: "Mamma Mia!"
Going to do after this: Eat something - I'm starving!

So this is just in case anybody is actually still checking to see if I've updated this site. :-) I've been really awful with it, but that's what happens without regular Internet access, I suppose!

Anyway, it's 2001 now, of course. I went home for Christmas for 5 days, which was really nice but way too short. I got some fabulous presents too, especially from my mom, who managed to have my grad photo with my cat reprinted, since I'd lost it in my computer box on the way back from New York. I also got a housecoat, which is fun, 'cause I've never had one before!

I had much more fun watching everyone open the presents I bought though. All my siblings and I had gone together and bought my mom a new family ring, which she just loved, even though she burst into tears when she opened it. :-) I also got her a stuffed hippo as her "Santa present", though I was tempted to keep it for myself - it's the cutest stuffed animal I've ever seen! I had to hug it in the store when I saw it. :-)

For New Year's, Laurie came down and we went out here in Toronto that Friday and then went up to her parents' for the rest of the weekend. We went to a party New Year's Eve, watched lots of TV and visited with friends. Fun was had by all. :-)

I've managed to put an end to an odd trend in my life in that I had never been to the theatre in January before this year. I have no idea why - it's just turned out that way! But earlier this month I went to see Larry's Party (front row centre!) with Brent Carver. The show was so-so, but Brent was great, as always! And then last night I went to see Cinderella at the Pantages. For the first time in my life, I was late for the theatre! I was so ashamed!!! :-( But I didn't realize (or had forgotten) that the show started at 7:30, and so didn't show up until quarter to 8. We didn't miss much, but it was more the principle of the thing. Anyway, the show was alright, and afterwards I met Debbie Gibson!! This was very exciting for me, 'cause when I was 9, I used to want to be her (or Tiffany, it didn't really matter. :-)

But probably the biggest news at the moment is that I'm moving to a new place at the end of February. One of the women I work with has extra room in her house, and I went and looked at it yesterday, and it's a vast improvement over where I'm living now - for the same price! So I'm moving. :-) It will also be good for my cat, 'cause he'll have a whole house to roam in and not have to be confined to my room when I'm gone.

Coming up in February is the Backstreet Boys concert next week, and comedian Mark Lowry sometime later (I really should find out the date! :-). Plans are also continuing for Europe in August - I can't wait!! That's all from me for now - I'll try to write again in a little less time this time. Happy New Year all!
