Melanie actually had a day off yesterday, so I got to talk to her...yay! I've missed her very much since she's been gone with Delta Brigade, but I guess that's life. :-) She said there's a possibility she may be on PBS...I'm so excited! :-) We were supposed to watch videos of her performing when she came to stay with me in New York, but we ran out of time, so I still need to see her play!
There's not a whole lot new to report, but I thought I'd do a quick entry before I go away for the weekend. My little brother is playing provincial ball this weekend, so I'm going along for the trip. Despite the fact that I hate baseball, and it's probably going to rain (or snow!) all weekend, I'm going anyway. :-)
I watched the movie Elizabeth the other night with my mom. Aside from some rather grotesque scenes, it was a really good movie. I love movies that actually teach you something. :-) I'm sure there's a ton of movies I want to rent, now that I actually have the time to watch them, but I just haven't been in the mood lately.
I haven't really felt like reading either, though I've started A Farewell to Arms. Somehow I managed to keep reading it in the car last weekend despite my dad's comments about amputees. :-) My aunt and uncle left a lot of their books here, so I need to go through them and see if there are any I want. I need to start reading more...I've only read two books this summer, and they were Kiss of the Spider Woman and Ragtime...are you sensing a theme here? :-)
That's about all, I think...oh, and I got a really great package yesterday from my friend Monica in Italy. She bought me a J&H program from Germany! Lots of Ethan pictures!! :-) And the lighting is much better in my house than it was in Marlowe's. :-) I need to buy the CD now that it's available at the theatre. Even if it is only highlights.
Well, better go pack for the weekend! Hope your weather is better than ours!
