This is going to be a shorter version of my journal entries - just a paragraph or two when I've got something to say. :-)

July 24:

Go buy the Celebrity CD. Do it right now. It's okay, I'll wait.
I've only listened to it all the way through once, but I really, really like it. Favourites on first listen would have to be "Up Against the Wall" and "Just Don't Tell Me That". That'll probably change over time, but there's really not a track on it that I wanted to skip over - which is, truth to tell, more than I can say for No Strings Attached.
I spent the morning before I could go pick it up reading the reviews and articles. Lots of them were kind of mean, but there were two things that made me laugh out loud (always a dangerous thing to do when people are nearby). First, from the Entertainment Weekly review, talking about "Up Against the Wall": "First reaction: Who'd have thunk it? Second reaction: What exactly do the blond one, the chunky one, and the one with the goofy broomhandle hair do in this band?". And then, from the Edmonton Sun: "'I'm a get mine'? What the hell are they talking about?" :-)
So should I get back to the theatre obsessing before I really frighten you all? :-) I'm going to see The Full Monty tonight with Karen and Trevor - should be fun! We're doing the J.J. Mugg's thing beforehand too. I'm going to wear my new *NSYNC tank top ... oops, there I go again! :-)
22 days till Europe!!!

July 16:

They said it was going to rain today, but it was so nice this morning, I didn't believe it and didn't bring my umbrella. Now I'm going to have to walk to the mall in the rain. :-(
I have made a new resolution, to try to update at least one of my websites every day. It may not prove possible, but I'm going to give it a shot!
I am soooooo sore today. I spent a lot of time in the garden this weekend, and my body's just not used to the exertion! I was a little freaked out when I went out back Saturday morning, and our pond was empty. Like, bone dry. Three feet of water, gone. I finally figured out why, but after quite a few minutes of being thoroughly baffled.
I saw *two* movies on Saturday. That is such an unusual occurence! Karen and Gill came down, and we went to Legally Blonde (I'm so upset they made Victor a bad guy!!), and then, since we were already there, we went to see Moulin Rouge again. Great movie!! We also did some shopping earlier that day (go buy the Bat Boy CD!), and scared an older couple at Shopsy's with our *NSYNC obsession. Good times all 'round.
I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" yesterday for the first time, and enjoyed it very much. I also watched the second part of Anne of Green Gables, and most of Pollyanna on Saturday - and cried at all three. I am such a sap!!
30 days till Europe! One month from today I will be in Amsterdam!!

July 11:

My mother went home last night. :-( We had a really great time, but it went far too fast, of course! The rest of the trip went really well too, except that I managed to put a dent in the rental car (I ran into a pole - don't laugh!), so I'll have to pay for that, they haven't let me know how much yet. This will not help my Europe budget at all! The Bravo Broadway concert was okay, and Doug was great, of course! We had a lot of fun at Center Island, going on all the little kid rides at the amusement park. :-) And it was nice to go visit Alison's family on Sunday. Overall, it just couldn't have been much better, other than the car.
I watched Pretty Woman on TV last night. I'm pretty sure this is only the second time in my life I'd ever seen it, the first being at my 13th birthday party. It was a nice little fairy tale. :-) And it was funny, because whenever we watch something romantic on TV, my roommate always says, "That's going to happen to us someday!" So at the end of the movie last night, she said it, and then, after a pause, added, "But we won't be hookers." :-)
I got my $50 gift certificate for HMV in the mail! Now I just have to wait two weeks to use it until the *NSYNC CD comes out! Oh, and speaking of CDs, I *really* like Joey McIntyre's new one. I recommend it!
35 days till Europe!!

July 5:

I'm listening to my Sonicnet station right now, which I haven't listened to in about a month. It's fun! :-) You can listen to my station too if you want!
My mother is here now! We've been having a great time - very busy, but fun! We went to Stratford on Sunday to see The Sound of Music, which I enjoyed more than I was expecting to. We also saw the Canada Day parade in Stratford while we were there, but it wasn't very exciting. :-) Then we toured Fort York on Monday and went to see Moulin Rouge (which I *loved*!!), and Tuesday we saw The Lion King (pretty much what I was expecting - loved the guy playing Scar though!), and last night we went to the special exhibit of art from the Hermitage at the Art Gallery of Ontario and then to Mamma Mia! That show is just so much fun!! I'm hoping to go again at the end of the month if I can ever get Laurie down here.
Tonight is for relaxing, because tomorrow we're going to Center Island all day and the ROM in the evening, then to Niagara Falls and Rochester, NY for the Bravo Broadway concert on Saturday, to Gananoque and Kingston on Sunday and to the Black Creek Pioneer Village on Monday. At least she won't be able to say I didn't try to keep her entertained!! :-)
Hi to Karen and Gill if you read this from London! Glad you're having such a good trip!!
41 days till Europe!!
