Picture of the day:

I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd written in here...my, how time flies when you're doing nothing. :-) Only one more day till Pimpernel re-opens! I'm *very* interested to hear reaction to the new show, especially after reading Ron Bohmer's online diary-thingy. It sounds interesting, though I'm a little concerned about the amount of trust he has in Robert Longbottom. Anyway. We'll see how it goes.
I've hardly been online at all this past week, as we've had company from Victoria. On Friday, my mom and I, along with my aunt and two of my cousins went to a Ukrainian Heritage Village just out of Edmonton. It was really interesting! We spent four hours there...there's a little town, as well as homesteads as they would have looked at various times, and in each building was a role-playing person, and they were all really good! We also stopped at Vegreville to see the world's largest pysanka (Ukrainian Easter Egg), which I hadn't seen since I was very much younger...it was a fun day.
I'm so upset...I actually remembered to set my VCR this weekend for the Today Show, since Ragtime was on, and then our cable went out Friday night, and didn't come back on till Saturday afternoon! :-( I really wanted to see it!! If anyone out there happened to tape it, and wouldn't mind sharing it, could you let me know?
I tried to make my schedule for school the other day, and it ended up being much more difficult than I'd anticipated. To start with, my one required course for the year is a three-hour lecture at 8:30 am on Monday morning. Is that even remotely nice? Then the other two Journalism courses I wanted to take were also both on Monday, and you're not really supposed to schedule any other courses on the day you take them. The good news is that the Poli Sci course I wanted to take is offered at a good time for me, and it's even my favourite Poli Sci prof from second year! That made me happy. :-) But then when I went to look at options, I had even worse luck! NOTHING I wanted to take is offered this year. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Would you believe I *still* don't have my computer?? I mailed it from New York when I left, and it actually arrived in Provost before I did...with a price tag of $107!! Apparently customs thought it was a new computer (despite the fact that the box had *obviously* been mailed before), and was charging me GST on it. So we sent it back to the customs office to appeal it, and they still haven't returned it. Not only did the box have my computer in it, but it also had clothes, pictures and lots of other stuff I threw in there to send home. I want my stuff!!
Hmmm....I thought I had quite a bit to say, but I guess not! :-) Or at least, that's all I can remember for now. Have a great week!!
