So I'll try to do a brief update on my life post-Pimpernel...it's definitely not anywhere near as exciting since I can't hang out at the Minskoff anymore. :-) I have walked through the windtunnel twice, but it was a huge effort each time, and I've decided that Schubert Alley works just as well, so that's my new route.
The Tonys were a lot of fun...I went to the rehearsal, and then the Fosse cast party during the actual ceremony. Needless to say, everyone was pretty happy when we won. :-) The party was definitely the most high-class thing I've ever attended...even with all the cheesy '80s music they played at the end. :-) I had a really great time. I love that cast...they're all really nice!
Oh, and I finally *saw* the show, and enjoyed it quite a bit. If you take a look at my favourite shows, you'll notice I'm a little partial to plot, so obviously Fosse is not going to be my favourite show ever, but I did have a good time. The cast is amazingly talented. They'll be appearing on the weekend Today show next week (June 26), so I get to go to that as well...should be fun!
Let's see, what else...oh, I saw two off-Broadway plays, both of which I enjoyed quite a bit, and I also went to the closing show of Civil War (LONG story), which was really sad. And I saw Ragtime again, with a friend from the League. Oh, and a bunch of really great Leaguers threw me a little surprise going away dinner at Barrymore's the other night...if any of you are reading this, thank you again SO much! It was really sweet! I can't believe I'm going home in a week. These two months have just flown by. And I LOVE New York. I'm sure I will live here again sometime in my life.
And it looks like my limited Internet time is up, so I better sign off for now...*much* more once I'm back in Canada!
