I've just gotten home from seeing Batman Begins, and I have to say that I truly loved it!! When the idea of Christian Bale as Batman was first mentioned years ago, I thought it was a fantastic one, and it turns out it was. He is awesome as both Bruce and Batman, and Katie Holmes didn't annoy me nearly as much as I was afraid she would. Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson were all perfect. The story is great, I loved watching the evolution of the character. The action sequences were awfully choppy, but that would be my only real complaint. Overall it is a really great superhero movie, by far the best Batman one so far! Batman has always been my favourite superhero, simply because he doesn't actually have any powers. He's just smart, and uses all these amazing gadgets. And finally, with Christian Bale in this film, there's a movie that does him justice.
Okay, enough of my superhero gushing. :-) Just have to get my fix in until Superman Returns comes out next year...or at least until Smallville starts up again in the fall.
Speaking of Smallville, I was able to find a copy of the MTV Cribs with Michael Rosenbaum, and that is one odd man. And I love him. :-) Seriously, anybody who has a karaoke machine in their basement, and then sings Wham! on national television has a place in my heart.
So, have I been thinking of anything other than superheros lately? Well, we did have a nice little shower/goodbye lunch for one of the ladies in the office who's going off on maternity leave. We went to the Mandarin, and they took a polaroid shot of all of us - I'll post it at the bottom of this entry. There's a little arrow above me in case you couldn't pick me out. :-)
Looks like I will have to make a trip to Germany this winter. More on that later.
This weekend I am stuck at home, with a lot of cleaning to do, and even more studying. My last two insurance exams are at the beginning of July, and I really can't wait for them to be over. But I guess that means I have to study to make sure I actually pass them! And with that in mind, I should probably head off to bed, so I can get a fresh start in the morning. Have a nice weekend!

I've gotten into a really bad habit of not updating in here for the first half of a new month - I'm not sure why that is!
Anyway, I'm back in Toronto now, obviously, and the rest of my time at home went really well. I ended up flying home from Calgary, so my mom and I spent the weekend there with my brother, and went to the Rockies to do some hiking just outside Canmore. A few pictures are below - my mom on the trail, and me in Banff!
Since I've been back, I have been very, very busy with work, and also trying to find a part-time job, which is proving to be quite difficult. I am studying for my insurance exams as well, and have a hundred other little mini-projects I need to get to - I really need to start keeping a list.
It is HOT here! We've had a full week of temperatures around 30 degrees, and it's HUMID, so my air conditioner has been pulled out of the closet. It's so wonderful when it's on, I could kiss it. :-) Today Peggy and I walked downtown in the 30+ weather, and were just a tad sticky by the time we got there. Remind me not to do that very often.
I saw the Batmobile yesterday! :-) It was at Eaton Centre downtown. I'm really excited about the movie coming out next week, I will definitely post my opinion of it once I've seen it.
That's about it for now - here are the promised pictures:
