Quote of the day: "I don't mean Southern people...I mean *real* people!" --Leo Frank (Brent Carver), in Parade

I don't know what's wrong with me lately...I feel really apathetic about a lot of stuff, especially school, which can't be a good thing. :-) For example, my story for journalism tomorrow just fell through, and I don't even want to think about finding something else. What I'd really like to do is go back to bed. So tired...

Anyway, happier news...only 8 days till Little Shop opens!! I'm getting really excited. We had our first full run in the theatre the other day, and it was really exciting. And I sold tickets yesterday (which consisted of singing along with the cast recording for four hours...if only I could find a job that would pay me to do that! :-), and lots of people are interested! I'm still trying to find a costume for one of the songs, but other than that, I'm pretty much ready! It's going to be so much fun. I can't wait until dress rehearsal, to see all the leads do their scenes in full costume and with all the props and everything. It's going to be so great!

That's pretty much all the excitement in my life right now. I've got a TON of work for school to do, and no energy at all with which to do it. I worked at my job a little bit last night, but I haven't been getting near as many shifts as I need. I will definitely have to find myself a real, pretty much full-time job, as soon as March is over. I can't wait for this month to be over. Once my journalism courses are finished, I really don't care about anything else. :-)

I got lots of reports from the March 7 show of Pimpernel (formerly Douglas' last day, but not anymore, thank goodness!). It sounds like such a fabulous performance! I got to rehearsal a little early the other day, and the piano was just sitting there on stage, so I went up and started playing "Into the Fire", and someone asked me what it was, so of course I went off into my Pimpernel gushing, and when I said I'd seen it 5 times, someone went, "Wow, you're so lucky!" And I realized I am. :-) I mean, I always get so jealous that all these people can see it so much more often than me, but really, when you think about it, I have been very lucky to see it as many times as I have. That doesn't mean that I don't want to go again though. :-)

*big sigh* Alright, I suppose I ought to stop procrastinating and try to find a new journalism story. I wish I could do one about Little Shop, but I think that might be a conflict of interest. :-) Wish me luck!
