I ♥ Long Weekends

Well, I love long weekends in general. This one in particular hasn't turned out to be that good. Tiger and I went to the vet yesterday, and they said his teeth are rotting, and they should pull about 4 of them. :-( So this makes me sad for any number of reasons - mostly because I don't want Tiger to lose his teeth, and also because I don't know when I'll be able to afford to get it done - they gave me an estimate on the procedure of $700! :-( On the positive side though, he's lost another 0.2 kg from last year, and is now right at the top of his ideal weight range! Yay! The vet said he should probably lose another half a pound or so, but that he is in much better shape than he was two years ago.

I graduated from high school 7 years ago today! I think I'm starting to get old. :-)

There have been a few new developments on the trip planning scene. For this summer, I've reserved the cabin at the campground in Florida, and we've decided to stay there 4 nights instead of 3, just so that we have a little more flexibility on when we actually go to DisneyWorld. And, I booked the hotel in New York. It's a place I've never stayed before, but the price was right, and, unlike some of the others I looked at, all the traveller reviews were positive. So hopefully it will work out well!

Now that those are taken care of, along with the reservations in Kentucky and Memphis, the only one I still have to find is a hotel in Washington, DC. The rest of the nights we will just be stopping wherever we happen to be when we're tired of driving. :-)

And, for the European trip this fall, I have booked my ticket for the Atlantis concert! I'm pretty excited about that. :-) It's in the 10th row (I think...my command of Danish is not what it should be ;-), and the dress code for the evening is "gala". Fun! Except I just realized that on top of the actual ticket, I also have to pay just to get into Tivoli Gardens! So it's going to be an expensive evening. But worth it!

I've also found an incredibly cheap flight from Malmö to Frankfurt, so I am going to try to take that, and take the train from Frankfurt to Munich, rather than taking the train all the way back from Copenhagen to Munich.

I did some baking yesterday! I just got some new recipes, so I decided to try one, for "peaches and cream muffins". They're pretty good! They have actual chunks of peaches and cream cheese in them. Mmmmmm! I'm going to take some to work on Tuesday, so we'll see what other people think about them too. :-)

Alright, I better go get my laundry from downstairs now, and try to enjoy the rest of this weekend without worrying about my cat's teeth too much!
