Going to do after this: Go home soon!

I got out my summer coat on Sunday! It was very exciting. :-) Sunday was *gorgeous* here - just over 20 degrees, and sunny. I spent most of it outside working on the yard with my roommate. We went and bought all my vegetable seeds and stuff too, so I've started a "mini-greenhouse" in the back room until we get the garden tilled up. :-)

Not much has been going on since I last wrote, except for the trip to Grand Rapids, of course. It was a lot of fun! And it was fun to see Pimpernel again too, if a little strange as well. I'd never been to Michigan before, except the Detroit Airport, so it was nice to see some of it. I may have to go back too, because we kept passing signs for "the world's largest Christmas store", but it was too far out of our way and we were on a schedule. I have to see this store though!! :-)

There's a lot of stuff coming up though! This weekend is Easter of course, so I'm making Easter chocolates and Easter dinner and all that, and Laurie's coming down on Friday and we're going out. Then next weekend Alison's coming up for Cabaret and Bridget Jones' Diary, and all that fun stuff. Then May long weekend is coming up soon, which I'm going home for, for my little sister's grad. I just got the invitation in the mail yesterday - it's cute! And now I'm thinking I'm gonna have to go to New York in May sometime as well - I need to see Bat Boy!! :-)

I'm also in the middle of trying to convince my mom she needs to come visit me for the first week of July. Doug's doing a concert in Rochester the first weekend in July, and I'd love to take her to it ... she hasn't seen him since we first saw Phantom almost 8 years ago!! Plus I'd just love to have her out here - and she needs a vacation! So hopefully it will work out. It's just a matter of making sure my brother gets to all his ball games and stays out of trouble. :-)

Speaking of brothers, my older brother is finally leaving home! :-) He went back home after finishing university two years ago, and has been working in Provost ever since. But now he's got an engineering job in Calgary with the company he's been working for in Provost (Husky Oil), and it starts at the beginning of May, so he's moving! I'm really happy for him - it's a job in his field, where he wants to work, and with people that he already knows. When do I find my job like that?? :-)

The job search is still ongoing, but not much has come up lately. That is, I've been applying, but not getting any responses. I'm so tempted to try applying with a New York address and seeing what happens, but that would be dishonest of me. :-) And, to be honest, I'm not really looking as hard as I could be, because where I am now, I've got my two and a half week paid vacation at the end of August to go to Europe, and I don't really want to lose that!!

Anyway, speaking of work, I guess I ought to do some! Have a great Easter everyone!!
