In a way, it's someone else's story
I don't see myself as taking part at all

My newest picture of Doug...a Bravo Broadway press shot

Well, my exciting news for the day has nothing to do with me really...I'm just thrilled for Doug Storm, who got the role of Quasimodo in Notre Dame de Paris in Las Vegas! He'll be wonderful, I'm sure. Now how am I going to get out there to see it? :-)

Speaking of seeing things, I went to the final show of Phantom of the Opera in Toronto this weekend. It was a very emotional night. I actually didn't think I would get emotional, but I did. I just started thinking about all the times I'd been in that theatre, the people I'd gone with, the people I'd met there, and how I'd never see the show there again...it was very sad! The show itself was okay...I wasn't terribly fond of Paul Stanley as the Phantom, but he wasn't horrible.

I think I forgot to mention that I got some very nice birthday gifts from my friends Laurie and Jackie including...a new Veggie Tales video! :-) I swear, these things make me way too happy. This one was about Jericho, and my favourite part was when they were all applauding for something, and one of the grapes turns to another one and goes, "How are we clapping?", because they have no hands! Maybe you had to see it, but I thought it was darn funny. :-) I also liked, "I'm a Larry-go-round!". AND! I saw a stuffed Larry in the grocery store the other day. I want one. :-)

Also in the way of TV stuff, I can't wait to see Annie this weekend. What an amazing cast. And Laurie just loves Alan Cumming, so I'm going to go over to her apartment so we can watch it together. Fun!

The Town of Provost has put up a new website...which is fine, I knew they were going to. So I went to look at it, and noticed that many of the pictures that were on it were taken directly from the page I designed. Which bothered me a little, but whatever. THEN, I noticed they didn't even have a link up to our page under "Provost links"! THAT made me mad. :-) So I'm going to have to write them a little letter I think.

I just have to say that I'm quite disappointed I won't get to see the new Pimpernel before it closes on Broadway. That's just to add to my disappointment of not getting to see Marie Christine, though I've heard it's a rather odd show. I still want to see Anthony Crivello though. :-) And I was hoping to get to go to Seattle over Christmas to see Martin Guerre, but it's not there till January. Nothing's working out for me here!

Anyway, I believe I've rambled enough for the time being. Yay to Alison for finding her cat safe and sound after being lost in Kingston for two days. Yay to me for making it through my Nietzsche presentation. And have a great weekend to everyone else!
