December 27:
I am at work. *sigh* I really wish I wasn't.
I saw Richard Ouzounian on the streetcar this morning. That was fun.
The rest of my stay at home went really well. Christmas Eve was nice, and Christmas day was really fun. We played with lots of DVDs (my mom got Shrek, Aubrey got three others), and had a lovely dinner. I got very nice gifts, and some money, which I then used to buy a DVD player. :-) That was yesterday in Edmonton, at the Boxing Day sale at A&B sound - pretty crazy stuff. But I got one that plays European DVDs too, and that's all I wanted. :-) Mom and Aubrey and I went to see Kate & Leopold as well before I took my flight back home.
My kitty was mighty happy to see me, and didn't leave my side from the moment I arrived home until I left for work this morning. Poor thing!

December 23:
I miss high speed internet. A lot. It just took me 16 minutes to get into Geocities to edit this page.
Anyway, I am at home now, and have been having a fun and busy time. I visited with all of my grandparents the day I got in (one of the *very* few times I've ever seen all my grandparents on the same day), and then went to see my little brother play hockey (one goal and no penalties, yay!). I've done lots of baking, and my mom and sisters and I went to see Monsters, Inc. together. My cousins and uncle came down, and all of us (except Brett, of course) went to the bar Friday night, where I saw a good friend of mine I hadn't seen since high school. He hasn't changed a bit. :-) I also went out for coffee with another friend from high school and her two-week old baby boy, who's adorable and slept in my arms for an hour. I've wrapped all my presents, and gone to church, and watched It's a Wonderful Life with my mom.
I'm looking forward to Christmas morning a lot, only because I want to see everybody open the gifts I gave them! I also have to admit I'm a little curious about what Aubrey gave me - it comes in two parts, and is really heavy.
My roommate's in Australia right now! And I will be soon! :-) I got a year-end bonus from work that will really help out towards the plane ticket!
Have a wonderful Christmas, everyone, and Karen and Gill, have a great trip!

December 17:
Alright, so the first Grand Prix competition I don't watch all year, and Shae-lynn and Victor win! Over everybody! I'm so elated and upset at the same time. :-) And Alexei won as well!! Yay! And Jamie and David too. Let's just say I would *love* for this to be a preview of the Olympics!!
I go home tomorrow, and I'm really, really looking forward to it. I don't even want it to be Christmas yet, 'cause I just want to enjoy my time at home first.
I went to Gill and Julie's Christmas party in Orangeville on Saturday. It was very much fun! They did a really lovely job. And Karen and I watched great Hedwig stuff, and Tom on Rosie, and other fun things. And Karen and Gill both gave me awesome presents, I love them! And I got to sing along to the Phantom CD! That's been entirely too long. :-)
I saw Vanilla Sky on Friday! It is a great movie. I was a little disappointed in the ending, in a "it's been done" sort of way, but it didn't diminish the overall enjoyment factor too much.
I gave Chris and Margaret tickets to Mamma Mia! for Christmas, and they're excited! I'm so happy. I was a little worried they wouldn't be.
We had our Christmas staff lunch on Thursday. That was interesting, as there was an open bar, but it was lunchtime, and we all had to go back to work after. Oh well. I had a drink anyway. :-)

December 10:
15 days till Christmas!! I'm in a great mood today. :-)
On Saturday I got up early and made sugar cookies, then dyed my hair, then made chocolates, then did my Christmas shopping and then made shortbread. And then went to bed, 'cause I was tired. :-) And then yesterday, I went to visit my great-aunts at the Abbey (they're nuns), and watched some skating. And then this morning, I got up early, brought all my baking into work for everybody, and then went skating at Nathan Philips Square. It was soooooo perfect. I got there just as they finished flooding the ice, and then I was the only one on the ice for the entire 45 minutes I was there. So I did some figures, and then my stroking, and then some spins and jumps - and it was like 2 or 3 degrees out, so it was beautiful. It was a little intimidating, 'cause all these people on their way to work stopped to watch, but I had a great time. I want to do it every morning now. :-)
So I'm pretty much done my shopping now! I bought gifts for Aubrey, Lee, Brett, Mike (Shanda's fiance), Mom and Chris. I still need to get one more thing for Mom, and for Chris and Margaret, and to buy Karen and Gill's gifts. Other than that, I'm all finished!
My great-aunts gave me a gorgeous gift - it's a beautiful music box with a stained glass nativity on it, that plays "Ave Maria". I love it!
NOW IF ONLY IT WOULD SNOW!!!!!!

December 5 - later:
Yay! I am happy now. :-) I saw Tom Cruise!!!!!
I took a late lunch and ran over to MuchMusic just as he was arriving. I chose the wrong side of the building to stand on, but I saw him once through the window, and then at the end he came out our side! I took many pictures. :-) Probably the closest I got to him was about 5 people away, but it was enough just to be in his presence. :-)
Anyway, just wanted to share!

December 5:
I am very sad today. :-( Tom Cruise is at MuchMusic, which is like, three blocks from where I am, and I can't go. I love Tom. He's my favourite movie actor by far. And, there were so many opportunities for me to find out in time to go, and none of them worked out. So I guess it wasn't meant to be - but I'm having a hard time figuring out why not.
I'm also sad because it is December, and it's like 15 degrees. With NO SNOW. Christmas is less than 3 weeks away! I want snow!!
I made my gingerbread house on the weekend, and it was a disaster. :-( I am going to attempt it again when I go home though! I have diagnosed the problem and am confident that I can do it better next time. :-)
Christmas shopping is this weekend! I'm very excited. I love buying presents. :-) I am also making chocolates and sugar cookies this weekend. It's going to be a very busy weekend. :-)
I wrote my insurance exam on Monday. It went fine - I'm sure I did alright. We don't get the results until February or something crazy like that though.
