I arrived in Moscow on March 5, and spent the day there, visiting Red Square and seeing Roméo & Juliette. Unfortunately, I left my camera in my bag at the train station! So my pictures begin with my second day, after taking the overnight train to St. Petersburg.

After checking in at my hostel, I spent the day at the Hermitage and two related museums - Peter the Great's Winter Palace and the Menshikov Palace, and walked along the Neva to get a feel for the city.
