As promised - here's the picture. Thanks Jenn!!

Hey! Sorry for the long delay - I was hoping to get a picture or two up from the party last Friday for my next entry, but I guess I will update now, and add the picture when it comes!
The party was very nice - very formal, and everyone looked beautiful. Todd and I sat with Jenn and Eda and a few other people from our department. Dinner was served late, and didn't finish until after 10 pm!! And we'd gotten there at about 6:30 for appetizers. So after that, we were actually quite tired, and took off shortly after dessert. Apparently those that stayed until the bitter end enjoyed themselves quite a bit. :-) But it was a really nice evening, and Todd got to meet just about everyone from the office (poor guy!).
The rest of the weekend was spent in Mississauga. On Saturday we went for a long walk to a part of the city called Port Credit, where there was a nice waterfront park, and some cute shops and stuff where we did some browsing before going to dinner. Also over the weekend we played some board games (always fun!), and he made me help him re-pot some plants - I told him I take no responsibility if they die!!
It's weird how quickly Todd has become such a big part of my life. Today's the 28th of September, and only the sixth day this month that we haven't seen each other! And days, like today, where I don't see him, seem awfully long. I don't know how to descibe it - I don't want to say I feel dependent on him in any way, because I don't think that's true, but I certainly am happier when I get to be with him. And vice versa, I'd like to think. :-)
Anyway! We have been doing all this despite my annoying little health problems. My foot, which I wrote about several entries ago, is still bothering me, so they are finally sending me for an x-ray. And now in the last week my jaw has become really stiff, making it very difficult to eat or talk. I went to the doctor about that too, but he told me to just take Advil for it for now.
And speaking of health, my mom continues to improve, thanks so much to those that have expressed their concern. She is at home now, though she won't be back to work for a few more weeks at least. She will still have to have another surgery in the winter sometime, but we'll deal with that when it happens!
Other than that, I have been excitedly watching the season premieres! Lost was fantastic last week, and I can't wait to see it tonight. I am sort of into Supernatural, a new show with Jensen Ackles. And Alias is tomorrow and Smallville on Sunday ... did I mention I had to increase my cable package just to get Smallville? City TV's not carrying it this year! Frustrating!!
Oh, and we're seeing Les Mis tomorrow night! Yay!
Okay, long enough entry for now. I'll post again with a picture soon!
I have been soooo sleepy lately, I don't know what's wrong with me. Tonight, I am going to bed very early, and hopefully that will catch up with whatever deficit I've got.
This past weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday, which was Peggy's birthday, Peggy, Michelle, Todd and I went for dinner at the Madison. It was raining, but we sat on the covered part of the patio, and watched a raccoon fall through the roof, and generally had a good time. Plus I beat Todd at pool, which was excellent. :-)
On Saturday, Peggy and I went to Canada's Wonderland! It was a really nice day for it, and apparently we weren't the only ones who thought so - the park was packed!! We spent more than six hours there, and only got on seven rides. But the ones we did go on were a lot of fun! The Minebuster, the big wooden roller coaster, was probably my favourite, though Top Gun and the Drop Zone were also really fun.
Once we were back in the city, I hopped on the GO train and went out to Mississauga to spend the rest of the weekend at Todd's place. It was pretty low-key, but nice. Especially considering this Friday is the fancy dinner and dance that I know he's not looking forward to at all. :-)
Here is one picture from our Niagara weekend - just of me, sorry! This was our awesome car we had.

Only 2 more days until the Lost season premiere!
And another week has gone by with not too much happening here! Todd and I have spent a lot of time together, mostly because he started school yesterday, and that's really going to limit our time during the week from now on. He's going to the University of Toronto to get a degree in economics and political science. But he's still working part time too, around his classes. Plus the studying and paper writing and stuff. So I'm going to have to do my best to not be a distraction. :-) Maybe I'll actually update my theatre site one of these days!
Things with my mom are not going so well. Over the Labour Day weekend she was taken back to the hospital for an emergency surgery, since the original work had gotten infected. So she is still in the hospital until at least the end of this week, and then will have to go back in later in the year or early next year to have a third surgery. :-( It really sucks for her, and it's really frustrating that I can't be there. She sounds so sad on the phone.
This weekend Peggy and I are going to Canada's Wonderland! I'm very excited about this because every year I say I'm going to go, and never end up going. And we had actually scheduled this for earlier in the summer, but I had to cancel. But so far, with only four days to go, it still looks like it's happening, so that will be fun!
And next weekend is the first of our law firm parties, a precursor to the big Christmas party season. This is the really fancy dinner and dance that we always get dressed up for. And Todd is coming and wearing a suit, so it should be fun. :-) I promise I'll have pictures from that soon! I did get one picture of the two of us taken while we were at Gypsy, but I hardly took any other pictures that weekend, so it'll be a while before the film is developed.
Alright, I better finish getting ready for work. Till next time!
Happy Labour Day!
We're back from the weekend in Niagara, which was really nice. We went down on Saturday after lunch in Mississauga, and went to our hotel in Niagara Falls and just drove around the town for a bit and had supper. Then we headed out to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the evening performance of Gypsy at the Shaw Festival. The show was okay, though I can imagine better productions. On Sunday we had brunch in Niagara Falls and then headed back to Niagara-on-the-Lake to stroll some parks and do some window shopping before the show that afternoon (an Ann Marie McDonald play, which was a little strange, but interesting), and then returned to Niagara Falls where we went to see the fireworks over the Falls at night.
I had reserved an economy class car, as I always do, but they were out of those, so they gave us what they had on hand - which happened to be a PT Cruiser convertible!! Very cool. :-) So we put the top down to drive around Niagara-on-the-Lake, and it was very nice.
I've now seen the first three Harry Potter movies, so when the next one comes out this fall, I will be able to go see it with everyone else.
Hope you have all had a nice weekend!
