Hard as it is to believe, I am actually sitting home, alone, on a Saturday afternoon! It is raining out, so I have been enjoying spending a lazy day indoors, curled up with my Tiger and a good book.

The reason I am here alone is that my cousin is coming to spend the night here tonight, and Todd is working on an essay for one of his classes. So he is at home working on it, and I am not there because I need to be here instead! But I will see him again tomorrow, don't worry. :-)

The past couple of weeks have been good, if not too exciting. I did go to see a Kurt Browning show that was being filmed here in Toronto, with Andrea Bocelli, so that was fun! Michelle and I also went to check out the movie version of Proof, which we both really enjoyed. They played the trailer for Rent beforehand, and I got very excited. :-) There are quite a few movies coming out soon that I am looking forward to, including Rent, The Producers, Narnia, the new Harry Potter, etc. We might go see Elizabethtown next week.

In an early celebration of my birthday, I got taken out for lunch on Friday by a bunch of the girls at work. They also got me an adorable Christmas ornament! And on Monday, which is actually my birthday, I am going out for lunch with Jenn, and for supper with Todd. Sounds good to me!

This weekend is Skate America, the official start of the skating season!! I can't wait for the Olympics! I also can't really believe it's already been four years since Salt Lake City. That's crazy.

Okay, I'm going to go back to being lazy now. :-) 64 days until Christmas!

And it's October - only 75 days until Christmas!!

We are just back from our Thanksgiving weekend in Ottawa, which was very nice. We stayed with Laurie and Jeremy, and spent some time with them, playing board games and exploring a park full of chickadees. We also did some touristy stuff by ourselves, like visiting the Mint, the currency museum, Parliament Hill, and the Byward Market. It was a lot of fun, but not nearly long enough. I need more vacation!!

Fall has finally arrived here, after a very warm September. It was still absolutely beautiful last weekend, so Todd and I played tourist here in Toronto and went up the CN Tower, since he'd never been.

Me and a bunch of girls from work saw the touring production of Les Mis, which was enjoyable if not particularly memorable. And tonight Brenda and I are seeing the first play of the Canstage season. Hooray for theatre!

The Smallville season premiere was really good. Second episode: not so good. But I have faith that this season will be better than the last one. Alias, I'm not so sure about. The second episode was really boring.

Okay, that's about it for now. To finish: lots of pictures!! Click on them for the full version.
