       About Me

I was born in Saskatchewan, a primarily rural province in the centre of Canada. I grew up in small farming towns, up to and including a move to Alberta, the neighbouring province. In high school I spent a year as an exchange student in Quebec, and when I finished, I went to university in Ottawa. After school, I moved to Toronto, where I spent 7 years working for an insurance company. In 2007, I moved to England, where I spent a year in London working at Christie's auction house and travelling around Europe. Since returning to Canada, I've moved to Vancouver, and am currently working for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Also living in Vancouver with me are my wonderful fiance Todd and my cat Tiger. Todd and I have been together for over 3 years, and are in the middle of planning our wedding - hence the design of this site! Tiger's been my cat for more than 16 years, since he was one month old. I love them both!

My other family is growing steadily as my two brothers and two sisters all have significant others, and I also have three nephews.

In my spare time, I like to obsess over a few things - namely figure skating, musical theatre and travelling. I've been to the World Figure Skating Championships three times - in 1996 in Edmonton, in 2005 in Moscow, and in 2008 in Goteborg. I've been to the theatre over 250 times, and love seeing new shows in London and New York. As for travel, I've been to 31 countries so far, and hope to visit South America very soon.

I also enjoy wasting time on the computer, doing some cross-stitching, reading, playing the flute and piano, and baking. Christmas is my favourite time of the year!
